Geneva Airport Transfers to Meribel  

Airport transfers from Geneva to Meribel take approximately 2 hrs 20 minutes depending on seasonal traffic and road conditions. Looking at a map, Geneva Airport may not seem as well placed as the other airports however, unless you are travelling during non peak periods or at off peak times, the transfer journey from Geneva to Meribel is often quicker than from the other airports as the autoroute from Chambery, Lyon and Grenoble often gets snarled up whereas there are numerous different routes to Geneva Airport so our experienced drivers can pick the route to suit the local conditions. Geneva Airport is also generally the most efficient of the four airports servicing this area.

Chambery Airport Transfers to Meribel

If it’s running smoothly, Chambery Airport provides a good second choice however it can suffer badly from morning fog in the early winter causing flights to be delayed or diverted. As a general rule the risk of getting caught out by this is reduced if you choose flights in the late afternoon. If the autoroute is running smoothly, a transfer from Chambery Airport to Meribel takes about 1 hr 45 mins however on a busy Saturday it could easily increase by an hour or more.

Grenoble Airport Transfers to Meribel  

Grenoble Airport is actually almost half way between Grenoble City and Lyon Airport so the journey shares much in common with Lyon Airport so transfers from Grenoble airport to Meribel take about the same amount of time. Our experienced drivers can adapt the route slightly to avoid some of the worst of the jams so transfer times during peak periods are usually slightly better than for Lyon. Grenoble Airport is however let down by very poor passenger facilities so if your return flight is delayed, this is probably the worst of the four airports to pass the time in.

Lyon Airport Transfers to Meribel

Lyon would be our last choice during peak weeks due to the high volume of traffic travelling to the Alps which can result in huge traffic jams for a considerable part of the journey. Having said that, if you can chose flights at obscure times such as very early in the morning or later in the evening, or better still on a Sunday or weekday then Lyon is  a good option with transfers from Lyon Airport to Meribel usually taking about 2 hrs 15 mins but peak Saturday traffic jams can TRIPLE arrival journey times.
